Privacy policy
Last updated 1 November 2026. Covers the RankedIn website and the RankedIn Chrome extension.
What RankedIn does
You type a search term. RankedIn researches the pages that rank for it on Google, writes an article for you, and (with the Chrome extension) helps you publish it on LinkedIn and share it on X. You always press Publish and Post yourself. RankedIn then sends the article's address for indexing.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address from Google sign-in.
- Your websites' business details: for each website you write articles for, its business name and (if you add them) why customers choose it and its Google Business Profile name, address and phone. We also remember the last page you linked to and the last Google country you picked, to fill in your next article.
- Your articles: the search terms you enter, the pages you ask us to link to, the articles we write, any cover image you upload, and the public web addresses of the LinkedIn articles and X posts you publish with RankedIn.
- Your time zone (from your browser), so reminders arrive at sensible times.
- Your purchases: when you buy a plan, JVZoo (our retailer) sends us your name, email address, country, the plan, the amount and the receipt number, so we can put the plan on your account. We never see or store your card or PayPal details.
- Visits to our public pages (home, blog, this page): counted without cookies. We store the day, the page, and where the visit came from (e.g. Google, or a link's campaign tag). We never store your IP address or browser details: a visitor is counted with a one-way code that changes every day, so nobody can be traced or followed from one day to the next.
The Chrome extension
- It works only on LinkedIn, X and the RankedIn website.
- On LinkedIn it fills in the new-article editor with your article (title, text, cover image, business details) when you ask it to. On X it opens the post box with your article's link. It never publishes or posts for you.
- It checks whether you're logged in to LinkedIn and X by looking for the presence of their sign-in cookie. It never reads, stores or sends the cookie's value, your passwords, your messages, your feed, or anything else on those sites. It tells the RankedIn page only "logged in" or "not logged in", so the New article form can remind you to log in first.
- It sends RankedIn only the public address of the LinkedIn article and X post you publish, and a short note of which parts of the editor it managed to fill in (so we can fix things when LinkedIn changes its editor).
- It stores, in your browser only, a key that links it to your RankedIn account, and the RankedIn address it talks to.
- It does not track your browsing, show ads, or sell or share data.
Who we share data with
Only the services that do the work, and only what they need:
- DataForSEO: your search terms (the Google results RankedIn researches). Once your article is published, the same search term is also asked of AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews) through DataForSEO, to show which sites they cite.
- RankScore (rankscore.tech, our sister tool): the address of the page your article links to, so it can grade that page. Nothing else about you is sent.
- Anthropic (Claude): the research for each term and your business line, to write and fact-check the article.
- PetesIndexer: the public addresses of your published LinkedIn article and X post, for indexing.
- Google: sign-in only.
- JVZoo: our retailer. It takes the payment for your plan and handles your subscription; what you give JVZoo at checkout is covered by its own privacy policy.
- Resend: sends our emails about your plan (for example a payment that didn’t go through), to your email address.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we delete your websites' details, articles and images within 30 days (your LinkedIn and X posts stay on LinkedIn and X, which you control).
Your choices
You can edit or delete any website's details at any time (My websites), delete any project, remove the extension from Chrome at any time, or ask for a copy or deletion of your data.
