Short answer: I asked ChatGPT to price one real, 2,100-word LinkedIn article that RankedIn wrote for one of our beta testers. Its estimate to outsource that article (research, writing, LinkedIn publishing and the SEO work to get it ranking in Google) was $600 to $4,000.
Then I asked it to price a full 10-article LinkedIn campaign: about $10,000 mid-range, with a low of $4,000 and a high of $25,000.
These are ChatGPT’s estimates of what it would cost to outsource the work to a LinkedIn ghostwriter or article writing service, in US dollars. They are not quotes or guarantees, and no Google ranking is guaranteed.
How much would a LinkedIn article cost? The prompt I gave ChatGPT
Hey everyone. I sent an email out this morning, and the P.P.S. said: once your article is created, put the URL into ChatGPT, or any AI, and use this prompt:
How much would it cost to get an equivalent article researched, created, posted on LinkedIn and ranking in Google? Here’s the URL. Give me a low, mid and high estimate.
I’m going to put that to the max.
A real RankedIn beta tester’s LinkedIn article
I’m going to grab an article created by one of our beta testers. I won’t reveal it here, obviously. I’ll put the URL in and blur it out, but you’ll get the idea.
This is the article RankedIn provided to this beta tester’s LinkedIn account. Look at the quality of this article. This is what ChatGPT will be scanning. How cool is that?
So I’ll copy the URL, paste it in and send it: “How much would it cost to get an equivalent article researched and created, posted on LinkedIn and ranking in Google? There’s the link. Give me the low, mid and high estimate in USD.” I’ll come back once that’s done.
What does a LinkedIn ghostwriter cost per article? ChatGPT’s first estimate
ChatGPT
LinkedIn blocked access to the full article, so I’m treating this as a provisional estimate.
Because it said that, I’m going to paste the entire article in and get it to review it. But here’s its first answer:
ChatGPT
$1,500 is a reasonable middle estimate for a researched LinkedIn article, professionally written and published, with SEO work aimed at getting it ranking in Google.
So the low estimate is $400 for this article. The mid is $1,000 to $2,000. The high estimate is $2,500 to $5,000. For one of our beta testers’ articles. That is insane.
The revised estimate: $600 to $4,000 for one LinkedIn article
So I told it: “I noticed you couldn’t read the entire article. I’ll paste it here, then update your figures above accordingly.” Paste that in. It’s uploading.
I’m kind of thinking this beta tester got some pretty good value out of becoming a RankedIn beta tester.
ChatGPT
I’ll read the pasted article and revise the estimate based on its length, research and content.
Perfect. That’s exactly what I wanted the first time. It’s checking the article length and FAQ count. It worked for a minute.
ChatGPT
Pete, having read your LinkedIn article, I’d estimate around $1,500–$2,000 for the complete job.
It’s approximately 2,100 words, so my earlier length assumption was too low. It covers company research, service explanations, agency selection, pricing guidance and five FAQs. The research appears mainly based on public business information and established market advice.
| Level | Updated total (USD) | Typical service |
|---|---|---|
| Low | $600–$1,000 | Competent freelancer handling research, writing, editing, LinkedIn publishing and basic SEO follow-up |
| Mid | $1,200–$2,000 | Experienced SEO writer or small agency, including keyword research, fact-checking, publishing, ranking checks and revisions |
| High | $2,500–$4,000 | Established agency with senior editorial input, more extensive promotion and ranking follow-up |
So the absolute lowest price in USD for this article my beta tester created on LinkedIn is $600, with a possible high of $4,000.
It will be indexed in Google within the next couple of hours, and once it’s indexed it will probably rank number one for the term in the title. How cool is that? That’s one article.
ChatGPT
These are my estimated project totals, including the initial 60–90 days of SEO follow-up.
This is going to rank in days, from a single article.
What a LinkedIn article writing service charges for the writing alone
ChatGPT
For context, published writing rates put a 2,000-word article at approximately $400 through Inky’s LinkedIn service or $630 through Express Writers, before additional publishing and ranking work.
The article supports this pricing range. Its Google ranking still needs separate evidence. These estimates fund the work towards rankings rather than promise a particular position.
Diven’s proof: ranking in Google and ChatGPT
If you’ve already got my email about Diven, you’ll see he’s already ranked at the top of Google and also inside ChatGPT. He joined as a beta tester on Monday and sent me that evidence on Tuesday.
He sent it to me on Messenger, so I might as well show you right now. Here’s the message he sent me, and here’s the proof. It bumped his site up: LinkedIn results, and results in ChatGPT.
That was one article. So how much value will you get when you have 10 articles compounding each other? Check this out.
How to rank 10 LinkedIn articles together
From our explainer film
Why rank one LinkedIn article when you can rank 10 that help each other? Pick one topic and write down 10 search terms. The shortest, most competitive one is your main article. The other nine are longer-tail questions, each one different.
Publish the main article first, then publish the other nine. Every one links back to the main article, with the main term worked into a sentence. But the first and most important link in every article goes to your website. And each article also links to the one published just before it: article 2 links to the main article, article 3 links to article 2, all the way to 10.
And on top of that, each of these articles has a link from X as well.
From our explainer film
So the main article gets nine direct links, and every article gets a link from the next one. They all help each other rank. Publish up to three a day, so all 10 are live in about 4 days. RankedIn adds all three links for you: your website, your main article and the article before it.
So when you combine that with this, that’s number one: it’s insane SEO power. Ten articles linking to the first one, linking to your website. You’re going to saturate your market with all the related terms.
The full method, step by step, is in our guide: how to rank multiple LinkedIn articles.
A keyword research tool for RankedIn is coming
Which gets me onto another thing. I’ve created the most sensational keyword research tool to supplement RankedIn, and I’ll be releasing it in a week or so. So your terms will be perfect.
So let’s recap. A beta tester joins RankedIn and creates an article, and here’s 100% proof that, at minimum, that article ranked in Google is 600 bucks. For one single article.
What a 10-article LinkedIn campaign would cost
I really should get ChatGPT to listen to that video and give me a price for it. So I’m on my YouTube channel, Peter Drew SEO. You can open the video and show the transcript, then go back to ChatGPT and ask for these figures for 10 articles. There’s the transcript. It’s thinking.
ChatGPT
I’ll price this as a coordinated 10-article campaign, including keyword planning, research, writing, LinkedIn publishing and links between articles.
This is going to be fun. Are you kidding me?
ChatGPT
Pete, for 10 LinkedIn SEO articles built around your main-article-plus-nine-supporting-articles structure, I put the outsource cost at around $10,000 mid-range, assuming each article matches your example’s depth of approximately 2,100 words, or 21,000 words total.
They do. Low $4,000, high $25,000.
What the $4,000–$25,000 campaign price covers
These are ChatGPT’s estimated campaign prices, and what they cover, with my comments:
- Keyword planning: one main search term and nine distinct longer-tail search terms. Absolutely.
- Research and writing: 10 articles, with editing and fact-checking. Of course: we have four agents that do the writing, and one of them is a fact-checker.
- Link placement: website first, supporting articles linking to the main article, and links to the preceding article where applicable. Absolutely.
- LinkedIn publishing: formatting and your planned publication sequence.
- 60 to 90 days of SEO follow-up. This does it in 3 days.
LinkedIn article writing service vs RankedIn
ChatGPT
For comparison, published writing rates put 21,000 words at approximately $4,000 through Inky’s LinkedIn service or $6,300 through Express Writers, before additional campaign services. A separate specialist advertises a $7,500 strategy and content project covering six to 10 assets, which supports the middle estimate.
Your 4-day schedule covers publishing once the articles are ready. These prices cover production and ranking work. Specific Google positions remain an outcome, not a fixed deliverable.
Obviously, that depends on the keyword research, which we’ll also be providing in RankedIn.
Wrap-up
Thanks for watching. These are very exciting times, guys. Anyone can do this and get spectacular results.
